School Day
The school day starts at 8.50am and finishes at 3.15pm.
Reception, KS1 and KS2 Morning Sessions
Lessons run from 9am until lunchtime, including a morning break time.
Reception have break time from 10.15am-10.30am.
Year 1 and 2 have break time from 10.30am-10.45am.
Years 3,4,5 and 6 have break time from 11.00am-11.15am.
Reception have lessons until 11.30am.
Year 1 have lessons until 11.45am.
Year 2,3 and 4 have lessons until 12.00pm.
Years 5 and 6 have lessons until 12.15pm.
Lunchtimes
To enable all those pupils whose parents wish for them to have a Universal Infant Free School Lunch we stagger our lunch times as follows:
Year R 11.30am-12.45pm
Year 1 11.45am-1.00pm
Year 2/3/4 12.00pm-1.00pm
Years 5/6 12.15pm-1.15pm
Pupils can either have a school lunch or bring in a packed lunch.
Reception, KS1 and KS2 Afternoon Sessions
Pupils have lessons from the end of their lunch until assembly time or the end of the day.
Assemblies / Collective Worship
Collective Worship happens every day at 2.45pm for different sections of our school:
Monday Y1-Y6 in school hall
Tuesday KS1 in the school hall, KS2 in Earley St Peter’s Church
Wednesday Y1-6 in the school hall – Achievement Assembly
Thursday KS2 in the school hall, KS1 in Earley St Peter’s Church
Friday Y1-Y6 in school hall
In addition, pupils are taught singing in key stage hymn practices once a week.
Nursery
Pupils will attend Nursery in either the morning (8.30am-11.30am) or afternoon session (12.30pm-3.30pm).
Children who are in receipt of a 30 hour funded place will attend both the morning and afternoon sessions. There is a Nursery lunch club to cover the hour between the morning and afternoon sessions.
Before and after school provision
There is a Breakfast Club and After School Club available for Earley St Peter’s CE Primary School pupils between the ages of 4 – 11 years old in Reception to Year 6. Breakfast Club runs from 7.30am to 8.45am and After School Club operates from 3.15pm to 6.00pm.
